Glandokort
Khavinson natural peptide complex derived from adrenal gland tissue — studied for HPA axis normalization and adrenal cortex function support in chronic stress.
🔬 Mechanism of Action
Glandokort is a Khavinson Cytomax derived from adrenal gland tissue, containing adrenal cortex-specific peptides that regulate the steroidogenic gene expression machinery of the zona fasciculata, zona glomerulosa, and zona reticularis.
Glandokort modulates: (1) CYP11B1 and CYP11B2 — the enzymes catalyzing cortisol and aldosterone synthesis respectively, (2) DHEA-sulfotransferase for DHEA-S production, (3) melanocortin-2 receptor (MC2R) sensitivity to ACTH signaling, and (4) steroidogenic factor-1 (SF-1) expression that coordinates overall adrenal steroid output.
In chronic stress models, Glandokort treatment normalized the cortisol:DHEA ratio and restored diurnal cortisol rhythmicity that had been flattened by prolonged stress.
