Prostatilen
Polypeptide extract from bovine prostate glands — approved in Russia for chronic prostatitis, BPH, and post-surgical prostate recovery. Also known as Samprost/Vitaprost.
🔬 Mechanism of Action
Prostatilen is a Khavinson Cytomax polypeptide extract derived from bovine prostate glands. Like other Cytomax preparations, it contains tissue-specific short peptides that are proposed to selectively modulate gene expression in prostate cells. The preparation reduces prostatic edema by inhibiting local TNF-α and IL-6 production, normalizes leukocyte infiltration, improves glandular microcirculation, and restores secretory function of prostatic epithelium. In Russian clinical practice, Prostatilen is approved for chronic abacterial prostatitis, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and post-operative recovery after prostate surgery. Also marketed as Samprost (injectable) and Vitaprost (rectal suppositories with the addition of a fluoroquinolone antibiotic).

📜Background & History
Prostatilen is one of the earliest and most widely used Khavinson Cytomax preparations, first developed in the 1980s at the Military Medical Academy in Saint Petersburg. It was among the first tissue-specific polypeptide extracts to receive Russian pharmaceutical approval. The preparation is derived from bovine prostate glands using Khavinson's acidic peptide extraction methodology. With over 30 years of clinical use in Russia and CIS countries, Prostatilen has an extensive safety record.

🔗Synergies & Common Stacks
Prostatilen (prostate tissue) + Testagen (testicular tissue) = comprehensive male reproductive health protocol in Khavinson bioregulator practice.
Prostatilen + Libidon both target prostate health — Prostatilen from natural extract, Libidon from synthetic peptide approach.
