Protein-transduction-domain + Dishevelled-binding motif peptide that competes with CXXC5 for Dvl, intended to lift a brake on Wnt/β-catenin in hair-follicle models. Foundational paper is mouse + dermal papilla cells (PMID 28595998). No completed human efficacy trial. Not minoxidil, not finasteride, not a prescription hair drug.
Mechanism of Action
PTD-DBM is a cell-penetrating tag plus a Dishevelled-binding motif that competes with CXXC5 for Dvl, lifting a negative-feedback brake on Wnt/β-catenin in hair-follicle models. Lee et al. (J Invest Dermatol 2017, PMID 28595998) showed hair regrowth and wound-induced neogenesis in mice.
No completed human efficacy trial. Not minoxidil, not finasteride, not dutasteride. Microneedle + topical research use is vendor practice on top of a mouse paper.
