Mechanism of Action
SHLP2 is a small humanin-like peptide encoded as a mitochondrial ORF, characterized with other SHLPs in Cobb et al. 2016 (PMID 26718411). It is not humanin, not MOTS-c, not SS-31.
Isoform-specific cell effects in that paper are why we keep a separate ID instead of aliasing it onto humanin.
